Davidson County Department of Senior Services Senior Dynamics program is offering an educational class on How to Put Pain in Its Place for county residents 55 and older.  The class will be held from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. June 23 at the Lexington Senior Center, located at 555-B W. Center St. Ext.

    Osteoarthritis is one of more than 100 types of arthritis and affects more than 27 million people in the United States. The pain associated with the disease can take control of a person’s life if they do not have the tools to manage it.  Get the facts about osteoarthritis pain and learn strategies for controlling and even preventing pain.  Topics will include causes of pain, tips for taking control, and available options for treatment.  Participants will receive a free exercise chart from the Arthritis Foundation as well as a free booklet with a pain tracker and pain management plan.  Find out what you can do to put pain in its place.

   There is no charge for participation but preregistration is required by June 19.  Space is limited, so reserve your spot today.
